Description
My first submission of the year.
This is for *Tasastock's contest.
This piece started out as a full figured piece, but due to the deadline of the contest and me being so bad at backgrounds, I turned it into a portrait. It is supposed to be a representation of a D&D character in my current D&D campaign. I will probably submit a few more of these character pieces in the upcoming year. I couldn't come up with a real background so just did the one you see in about 45 minutes today.
This piece was done with Photoshop CS and a Wacom Graphire 4 tablet.
All digitally painted, using [link] as a reference. (The reference pic is Mature Content, so be forewarned before clicking on that link.) By the lovely .
Reference for the hilt of the sword comes from a pic by , who has lots of fantastic stock for D&D type characters.
The pattern on the armor reference is from a pic by .
My many thanks to these stock artists who provide their talents for our use. They enable me to do what I do.
As always advice, critique, suggestions, etc. are welcomed. Things I need to work on especially include lighting and using contrasting colors to add life to my paintings. Anyway, thanks for taking a look.

I'm looking for someone to do my D&D character. How much would you charge?
